The Drawing Studio - 04.22.07

Well after about 4 months I finally made it out to the Drawing Studio. It was a beautiful weekend (first signs of Spring here in NYC) and I had just gotten over about a 3-week-long funk of crappy drawings and no desire to do any art. Well, funk or not, Jeff Fisher had no mercy, and once again pushed me to do things i never would have tried on my own.

Spectrum 14 Annual

First off, i want to apologize for not updating this thing in a long time.

And second, I'm very happy to announce that after 5 years of trying I finally made it into the Spectrum Annual of Fantastic Art. What makes it even more exciting for me is that I'm in the book with a lot of my friends, who are directly responsible for my growth in the last two years. Thank you all who have helped me out and all that have sent their congratulations.

And third, I do not want to make a "yay me" post without any artwork to show for myself, so here is a detail of a painting I'm working on (in progress):

Howdy all, sorry for being absent in 2007. There was a lot of things on my plate starting with a ton of deadlines and freelance work. I also moved to Queens from Manhattan and between searching for an apartment and packing and getting ready for another canceled show up in the Bronx, things just got away from me. I've been in the new place for almost a month now and i still have not totally settled in. I have a ton of watercolors for you that i hope to photograph and organize in early March.
